Harmony Montgomery was murdered

by News Desk August 12, 2022

New Hampshire authorities brought grim news that 7-year-old Harmony Montgomery who went missing over two years ago was murdered.

In a press release, the New Hampshire Attorney General John M. Formella announced that authorities conclude that Harmony was indeed murdered. Her remains are yet to be discovered and the investigation has evolved to a homicide investigation.

These efforts have led investigators to conclude that Harmony Montgomery was murdered in Manchester in early December, 2019. While Harmony’s remains have not yet been located, multiple sources of investigative information, including biological evidence, lead to this conclusion. As a result, this is now a homicide investigation. Investigators continue to look into the circumstances of Harmony’s murder and search for her remains.

Harmony went missing sometime between Nov. 28 to Dec. 10, 2019, but Police were only alerted two years later. She went missing from her father’s custody, he also happens to be a person of interest for authorities.

Her father, Adam Montgomery, has been held without bail since January on a set of charges including child abuse and for allegedly assaulting Harmony in 2019. His wife, Harmony’s stepmother, Kayla Montgomery, has also been charged with fraud for lying to the grand jury and allegedly collecting food stamps in Harmony’s name months after she last saw her.

The investigation is currently ongoing as Police are yet to find Harmony’s remains. Authorities last visited the Montgomery house in June to collect evidence.

Adam Montgomery took Harmony’s custody just 7 months before she was last seen. The Conservative reported in January that the girl’s biological mother, Crystal Sorey, had filed countless abuse and child neglect reports in the past.
