Russian troops not moving at all – NATO chief
NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg has said that there are no signs that indicate Russian troops are moving back as announced by Moscow.
According to Stoltenberg, Russia still has a huge number of troops situated at the border who can actively attack Ukraine at any time.
NATO will now buff up its eastern flank in order to combat Russian aggression and protect Eastern Europe from the Russian threat.
Moscow however, has been busy releasing videos that show tanks supposedly moving back from ‘the border’ – that does not seem to be the case on ground.
NATO will now set up small Military Units (MUs) in Southern and Central Europe to give added protection to the region.
Stoltenberg has described this entire episode as the biggest security crisis in Europe since the end of the Cold War. Putin has time and again said he won’t invade, but still keeps an army of over a 100,000 with equipment and tanks at the border with Ukraine.
Moscow has been actively trying to build a backup narrative in case it doesn’t invade Ukraine after seeing the World’s strong reaction.
