Afghanistan: US kills ISIS-K terrorist planning future attacks

by News Desk August 27, 2021

Update: Not one but two terrorists were killed in strike. One was injured.

The US has taken out an ISIS-K planner who was formulating future attacks as the US evacuations reach their most dangerous phase. President Biden has already been warned of another possible attack in Kabul.

In an unmanned airstrike conducted in Afghanistan‘s Nangahar Province, an ISIS-K terrorist was killed and no civilian lives were lost in the process.

President Biden had vowed to respond to Thursday’s cowardly attacks and forwarded plans that would hit ISIS-K assets and leaders. On Thursday, about a week after the severe warnings of a terror attack, a suicide bomb exploded in Kabul and 13 American service members lost their lives and 170 others were killed.

As the US is set to departure from the country on August 31, Afghanistan is headed towards uncertainty with a battle now expected to rage between the Taliban and ISIS-K. The US is talking to Afghanistan’s neighbors in a bid to get them to host US air operations against possible threats.
