Sex Harassment: Biden asks Cuomo to resign
After a 5-month long independent investigation into his workplace misconduct found him in violation of harassing multiple women and also violating state and federal laws in the process. President Biden has asked disgraced New York Governor Andrew Cuomo to resign after the latter once again denied the allegations and refused to acknowledge the calls for his resignation. Along with President Biden, the State’s Democratic members of congress have also called on Cuomo to resign.
This comes in after the New York Attorney General publicized the report that found Cuomo to have sexually harassed multiple women and also keeping a toxic and hostile work environment. The Governor had denied touching women ‘inappropriately’ through a public statement before this breaking news event.
“I never touched anyone inappropriately or made inappropriate sexual advances,” he claimed.
“I am 63 years old, I have lived my entire adult life in public view. That is just not who I am and that is not whom I have ever been,” he added.
He called the entire “situation” political and biased as he got close to the end of the briefing.
“Politics and bias are interwoven throughout every aspect of this situation. One would be naive to think otherwise,” he told later on in the briefing.
Criminal charges may later be placed on Cuomo after he resigns or is impeached.
