President Biden ‘praying’ Derek Chauvin trial ends with the right verdict
While talking to NBC news, George Floyd’s younger brother Philonise Floyd remarked that the President had called his family on Monday, April 19, 2020. He empathized with George Floyd’s family and said that he knew how it’s like to lose a family member.
The President later on Tuesday, shared his views about Floyd’s family, “I can only imagine the pressure and anxiety they are feeling.” he said, “I waited until the jury was sequestered and I called” he added further, “They’re calling for peace, no matter what that verdict is”.
The President described the evidence of the case as ‘overwhelming’. The statements were made after the jury of 12 (5 male and 7 female) had been sequestered for deliberations.
Ex-Minneapolis Police officer Derek Chauvin is on trial charged with second-degree unintentional murder, third-degree murder and second-degree manslaughter. The jury is on its second day of deliberations and the whole World is waiting desperately for the verdict. The death of George Floyd had polarized society and whatever the verdict of this trial is, the polarization would diminish and America would breathe again.
