Elon Musk promised to release documents relating to Twitter’s censorship of the Hunter Biden laptop story during the 2020 elections, and here’s how the company did it.

The alleged internal communications were given to writer Matt Taibbi and The Conservative has not been able to independently verify their authenticity.

Taibbi started tweeting the alleged documents hours after Elon Musk tweeted about their anticipated release. Twitter under Elon Musk has been taking steps to regain the public’s trust which has been deteriorated over the years because of censored content that doesn’t align with the Left’s views after constant pressure from the Democrat Party and the mainstream media.

Censorship of any kind should be condemned. What led to this outcome was the ‘biased censorship’ on social media platforms that got so bad that even harmless memes were ridiculously fact-checked and people posting them were attacked, banned, censored, for ‘sharing mis or disinformation.’

The problem occurs when a few or a group of people ‘with power’ – be it the government or the media or the businesses – tilt towards control after deciding that their beliefs or decisions on a matter are right and everyone else should follow what they believe.

Preaching is different and can or cannot work, but if we use our huge monopolistic platforms – that earned their good reputation because of the people’s trust and the freedoms the platforms provided in the beginning – to dictate and decide for the people on what and what not to believe then we will be condemned and despised sooner or later.

People are free, and they like to be free. Where there will be signs of control or a biased tilt where there is power of any form. There will be detestation that would lead to polarization and revolt.

Over the years we have been witnessing our ‘favorite’ platforms losing trust because of trying to control the beliefs and flow of information of their user base that are the very reason for their existence.

Disinformation is bad, but disinformation will eventually be exposed. If companies decide they are the ones to decide what is information and what is disinformation then we will always have intentional or unintentional politically motivated bias.

The Hunter Biden laptop story was not disinformation. Yet the mainstream media, social media platforms like Twitter censored and marked it as that. Why?

We cannot for sure know their intentions, could be intentional or unintentional, but what we can be sure of is that they misused their power – decided to ‘govern’ – that was given to them by their viewers or user base.
