Paul Pelosi attacked ahead of midterms
Paul Pelosi, husband of House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, was attacked at his SF home by an intruder equipped with a hammer just ahead of the midterms.
82-year-old Pelosi, was left with a fractured skull after the attack. He is also suffering injuries to his right arm and hands according to reports.
The alleged suspect, identified as David DePape, had demanded to see Nancy Pelosi after breaking into the Pelosi SF Home. This attack comes just ahead of the midterms due to take place on November 08.
The motive so far, remains unknown but multiple mainstream media reports and leftist users online allege the suspect to belong to the “far-right.”
Paul Pelosi was shifted to the Zuckerberg General Hospital and doctors expect him to make a full recovery post surgery.
SF Police responded to the situation around 2:27AM PST on Friday. Upon arrival, they saw the suspect and Paul Pelosi struggling over a hammer that was ultimately snatched by the suspect who then whacked Pelosi on the head.
Officers then successfully intervened by disarming the suspect. David DePape now faces multiple charges ranging from assault with a deadly weapon, elderly abuse, to burglary.
According to the authorities, DePape entered the Pacific Heights Pelosi home by breaking a rear glass door. DePape was hospitalized after the incident.
How were the authorities alerted during the attack?
After the break-in, Paul Pelosi told the suspect he wanted to use the restroom and then went on to call 911 from his phone while leaving the dispatcher on-call, according to reports.
Police have determined this attack to be “intentional.”
Multiple mainstream outlets have reported to have seen the suspect’s “social media accounts” that posted “anti-Semite memes, election fraud, etc.”
Multiple online outlets on the other hand, have reported to have discovered that “DePape supported Fidel Castro” and is “definitely far-left” as “he was linked to a radical nudist.” – The Conservative has not been able to independently verify these reports.
Speaker Nancy Pelosi has been busy campaigning with fellow Democrats ahead of the midterms. The attack on her husband is unfortunate and should be condemned.
As it’s election season, this will definitely have an impact on the results and would be trending as both sides of the aisle will try to determine what side DePape belonged to.
