Explosions recorded at Russian base in Crimea
Explosions were recorded at a Russian military base in occupied Crimea, leaving a couple of people injured.
According to Russian officials, a fire at a temporary arms dump in Northern Crimea was the cause of the explosions. Witnesses were able to spot a fire at a nearby electricity substation.
The Russian Defense Ministry says the incident is being investigated and the explosions were caused by a fire at a temporary arms storage site near Maiske.
Ukraine claims the explosions were part of a “demilitarization” of the region and by no means an accident.
