Arizona rejects Rusty Bowers
Arizona rejects Republican – primary – hopeful Rusty Bowers, who went against the Party line after the 2020 Presidential election.
Bowers, a Republican, had testified at the January 06 committee and lost to the candidate supported by President Trump. Bowers wanted to run for the state senate as a Republican but lost to David Farnsworth.
Expecting defeat, Bowers had already declared that it would take a miracle for him to win after defying President Trump. The state senate hopeful testified at the January 06 committee and said President Trump and Rudy Giuliani tried to pressure him to help overturn the election results.
After his testimony, Bowers was condemned by the Arizona Republican Party and he was then censured, with the Party announcing that he was no longer a Republican and was ‘unfit to serve.’
David Farnsworth took 64% of the vote to beat Bowers.
