Suspect Brown works for The Courier Journal and was reportedly featured as a “gun reform leader” on MSNBC host Joy Reid’s show. The Courier Journal reported him missing but it was discovered that he had allegedly tried to assassinate mayoral candidate Craig Greenberg.

Louisville Community Bail, a group affiliated with BLM Louisville posted Brown’s $100,000 bond.

BLM has bailed out the suspect just after two days in custody. Greenberg is devastated and says the legal system is “clearly broken.”

The suspect has been identified as 21-year-old Quintez Brown. He was also behind the West Louisville BLM riots after the death of Breonna Taylor.

The incident has been declared as an attempted assassination of Greenberg.

Greenberg has been vocal against rising crime in Louisville.

Louisville, Kentucky mayoral candidate Craig Greenberg’s office was attacked by a gunman on Monday morning.

The Democratic mayoral candidate tweeted that him and his staff are safe and more details will be given soon.

The lone shooter has been arrested by Police and the motive remains unclear. Police say the gunshots went through Greenberg’s clothes and he was not hurt in this brazen attack.
