House set to vote on social spending, infrastructure bills today
The Democrats are set to bring the bipartisan infrastructure bill and President Biden’s social spending bill up for vote today.
The votes will finally be casted after weeks of infighting within the Democratic Party. It’s the Progressives versus the Moderates, the far-Left isn’t liking the fact that the Moderates are finally waking up.
Moderate Democratic lawmakers are being chased by “protestors” in a bid to scare them off from their stance.
The House Rules Committee is set to meet throughout the night to settle the text of President Biden’s “Build Back Better Act.” The bill is set to use up to $1.75tn in the next ten years.
The House will finally debate and vote after the revised social spending bill is finalized. The bipartisan infrastructure bill which has already been debated will also be voted today.
The House is set to “convene at 8AM” to finally take votes for the revised bill. Senator Joe Manchin, a moderate Democrat, also hated by the Progressives managed to slice down the original $3.5tn “reckless” spending.
However, in a bid to appease the far-Left, speaker Nancy Pelosi earlier this week announced the addition of the 4-week paid leave which Manchin had opposed. The senator did manage to cut down the spending-spree significantly but now also has a lot of “vocal” enemies.
Republicans have outright rejected the Democratic spending-spree, calling them irresponsible and declining to be part of anything that would significantly increase inflation. The Democrats however, expect the wealthy Americans to pay for the costs.
The “Build Back Better Act” will go to the Senate once accepted by the House. It isn’t clear whether Manchin and other Moderates would still support the revised bill after Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s latest appeasement of the far-Left.
Who will pay for it?
–> In the end – The Taxpayer.
The Progressives argue to tax the rich for the mindless spending, which is deemed unsustainable on its own. Experts believe any targeted taxation may be illegal and would consequentially damage the already battered economy.
All bids to tax the rich are likely to face legal battles which may take time to conclude. Until then, the taxpayer will be burdened with the overbearing debt.
The Moderate Democrats, like the Republicans have anticipated the destruction. The Progressives with their “radical” ideas find nothing more important than giving away free money, and saving the Planet.
The major problem of their plans is self sustainability. All of their plans are either too good to be true, or will always require outside help for continued sustainability.
It would be great to be able to do something for Planet Earth, but in a way which doesn’t crush the taxpayer every year and put us in more debt.
The moderate Democrats like Manchin have always realized this, which is why they are now the villains for those who have never been told No by the Democratic Party.
