Who we are
The Conservative is being run by a very small team of normal people like you who have grown tired of the mainstream media’s biased approach in support of one segment and view of society, grown tired of their appeasement to that segment and their vicious attacks on everyone and everything (Yes, it has gone that far) that has a different way of life or thinking.
We will take an unbiased, neutral approach and let you be the judge of how you want to think. It is prayed that this platform is used for debates that bring people holding the opposite and conflicting views together to an agreement or disagreement with a peaceful understanding of where the other person is right or wrong and accepting the other’s flawed views while embracing dissent. You have the right to agree or disagree with our content and we would welcome your criticism with open hearts. We believe with open debates we can solve all the issues that plague our society. Debating issues can help us understand what we got wrong and it can help you understand where you were wrong. As a result either of us could have a changed opinion and even if we don’t it would still be perfectly fine. It is normal for a person to support one or many agendas and views, and everyone is entitled to their own opinions as well as their way of living.
The Conservative is here to show how a Free Press/Media is supposed to be. We are here to fact-check them, debunk their conspiracy theories that have no legitimacy, bring in the neutral view and to speak the truth no matter the cost and to expose their disinformation and plain lies along with their double-standards.
We will embrace dissent to the fullest as we believe it will play an important part in making us better and because those with the dissenting opinion have the right.
The Conservative will give the Breaking News, Updates, Conservative Angle, Centrist Angle, Interviews, Op-Eds, Fact-Check the Media, Debunking Conspiracy Theories, Expose Lies and Smear Campaigns, etc. While staying neutral as the media is supposed to be. We will accept where we are wrong and we hope those who dislike our content or views embrace dissent and debate on this platform to prove their point.
We are all free people and we shall have our disagreements but they will only bolster our affection towards each other and as long as we stay open and peaceful we shall all truly live freely.
The Conservative does not accept censorship of any kind. Having a debate and opening up a topic, talking about it is the best way of solving it even if it looks distant. We hold the right to take down or keep in place everything that is posted on The Conservative platform.
Our goal is to bring you the truth, the breaking news without any malintent or ulterior motive. We are committed to staying professional when reporting news events, interviews, etc. Our opinion pieces will give various arguments for or against a topic, argument, thinking, etc. But they will not affect our professional standards or the reporting of the truth, debunking and fact-checking the lies of the radical media.

The Conservative respects your privacy and is committed to protect your personal information. This section details our policy on data collection, protection and any use of your information while providing the services and information you request.
This policy is not applicable to third party suppliers, (Site sponsors, licensees and other partners) who, from time to time may perform some specialized activity for us. If any personal information is supplied to these third parties in order for them to perform their agreed activities, we will ensure that they are aware of their obligations under Law.

We would naturally collect your data in terms of what is called a “view” or a “hit”. When you view any webpage on any website on the internet, you visit it through your computer which has a specific ID and naturally the servers you visit store that ID and your IP address for security reasons and for site improvement.

This information or data may include an email address (if provided by you in a Contact form), technical information such as device specific ID, OS, IP address, browser type, and usage information which is how you use and navigate to and from The Conservative. Account registration and Comments:
If the visitor decides to get registered with The Conservative he will be obligated to sign up a form which has him sharing personal information required by the form.
When and if the visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.
An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.
Media:
If you upload images or videos to the website, you should avoid uploading them with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors can download and extract any location data from images on the website.
Contact forms:
Contact forms will require you to provide us with your email address so that we can get back to you and to avoid spam your feedback or messages might go through a spam detection system.
In the contact form you will be given an option to provide your personal details like your real name, age, etc, Which you can leave empty.

Like many websites, The Conservative also uses cookies. This enables us to provide you with a more personalised service and experience.

We may, from time to time, use the information to communicate with customers or potential customers about a product (if any) or service offering which may be of interest to them. Each time The Conservative contacts a customer they will be asked whether they wish to receive or not receive any further communications. If advised that they do not wish to receive further communications of that nature, The Conservative will comply.
If you join our team and request a password reset, your IP address will be included in the reset email.
How long we retain your data:
If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.
For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.
Content you make for us (e.g., articles, stories, videos, audio clips, memes, pictures, etc.) or help draft or share through the platform cannot be removed unless there is an expiration date agreed upon by both you and us, but if the content violates copyright law or our policy, ethics, standards, etc. Then we have the right to take it down at any time with or without letting you know regardless of a decided expiration clause.
What rights you have over your data:
If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes. This does not include the data you publicly post using our platform or the data such as articles written by you and given to us for publication.
While writing for us or using The Conservative to post your content including articles, photos, videos, audio-clips, etc. You give us the right to retain that information for as long as we like unless a clause is mentioned stating the time-period after which your content should expire, and both parties (You and The Conservative) agree to the clause. We also hold the right to deny your request to set an expiration date for your content as your content could already have a list of arguments for or against it and removing it would disrupt the entire chain.
We also have the right to remove your content or reject posting it if we find it or you violating copyright law, our journalistic ethics, standards, etc.

We will not hold your contact information unless you specifically provide it to us and it is somehow left on our or third-party servers e.g. Through an email.
Location:
Through your device ID and IP address we will naturally have access to certain information about your location as in country or address. Apart from technical collection you can also provide this information to us while creating a profile or filling out a specific form.
Fair Use:

We hold the right to criticize, debate, report, teach, conduct research on anything that we choose as long as it is within the realms of Fair Use. People who may use our platform to share content created should be aware of this too and we do not allow the copying, plagiarizing, pirating, etc. Of other peoples’ hard work. If you feel your content was plagiarized or stolen please contact us and we hold the right to determine whether your concerns are legitimate before taking action.
Please note that criticism, reporting of, teaching, making fun of your content is not considered as plagiarism or piracy.
