Chinese go mad as Pelosi set to visit Taiwan

Chinese ‘journalists’ and online ‘users’ go mad as House Speaker Nancy Pelosi is all set to visit in Taiwan.

After experiencing weeks of death threats from China amid the speculation of the Taiwan visit, Speaker Pelosi is reportedly heading for the country on her tour to Asia.

So-called Chinese ‘journalists’ who are state-controlled have begun hurling threats and abuses online. The Chinese cannon-fodder army is also in action, creating graphic images of Pelosi and sharing them on Chinese social media, in a bid to scare the House Speaker and declaring that the blame for an attack on her plane would fall on the US.

Although, nothing has been publicly confirmed yet about the Speaker’s potential visit, reports however, suggest she would land in Taiwan and meet government officials after flying out of Singapore.

Pelosi’s visit to Taiwan would be the first by any House Speaker since 1997. China has already warned of grave consequences if the visit takes place, which is why the US must ensure that it won’t give in to any threats or abuses.

Joining Pelosi on her trip to four Asian countries are Representatives Andy Kim, Gregory Meeks, Raja Krishnamoorthi, Mark Takano, and Suzan DelBene.

The Hidden Fear and Coercion of the Chinese

China considers Taiwan, that has always governed itself, a breakaway province. China’s real worry has always been the crucial Malacca Strait that controls over 60% of China’s trade. Controlling Taiwan gives it leverage in the South China Sea and naturally more strategic control over the Strait of Malacca.

The sole reason for China’s BRI – promoted as a lifeline for poorer nations only to then trick them in the infamous debt-trap – is to secure vital trade and choke points across the World’s most crucial straits and trade routes.

Because of BRI, China was able to get a strategic Sri Lankan port for 99 years without having to pay even an hour of taxes or other expenses that would otherwise have helped the Sri Lankan public, instead the country was given a loan it could never pay back and ultimately gave the port to China for 99 years with no strings attached.

Pakistan’s Gwadar that was leased till 2058 comes next … Wait for it … The country, just like Sri Lanka, is also suffering from its worst financial crisis and experts believe it too will be unable to pay back its huge share of Chinese loans that were meant to “skyrocket the country to prosperity” only to bring it to its knees 7 years later.

The Gwadar port will give China quick access to the strategic Strait of Hormuz and more leverage against Iran and other Gulf countries.

In the name of BRI, all China wants from countries like Sri Lanka, Pakistan, and countless African and Asian countries is their resources and security for China’s trade where a blockade lasting for a mere few weeks could bring China’s economy to its knees.

When Taiwan – that governs itself – calls for its independence, China reacts in the most undiplomatic way so that its bluff looks like a clear threat that it would not compromise but go to war, only to then back out in the end and begin its propaganda campaigns.

The Chinese strongly believe that showing anger will subdue or to the least signal out a clear act of war like message, but they forget that the rest of the World isn’t Chinese nor cares about how ‘glorious ancient China’ was or care if the Chinese go mad with their threats.

China believed threatening Pelosi at a time when Americans are on two different polarities when it comes to politics would have worked and scared us.

Little did it know that when it comes to our national security and when it comes to America. We don’t care about our domestic disagreements and instantly become one.
