Two people dead as pickup truck crashes into fireworks stand
Two people have reportedly died after a pickup truck crashed into a Washington D.C., fireworks stand on Saturday.
The crashed occurred at noon after 5PM near Nannie Helen Burroughs Avenue Northeast and Minnesota Ave. The driver ran a red light and struck a cyclist on a crosswalk before crashing into the fireworks stand, Police reported.
Both the male cyclist and the man behind the fireworks stand were pronounced dead. The driver, according to Police, was suffering a medical emergency which resulted in the crash.
Police have started an investigation into the incident. No other injuries were reported.
