NYPD van kills pedestrian in accident

A New York City Police Department van was involved in an accident with a pedestrian that resulted in the victim’s death.

The incident occurred around 8PM on Thursday night in Crown Heights, Brooklyn at the intersection of Eastern Parkway. The unidentified victim was an adult male who was rushed to a nearby Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

The incident is being investigated and unverified videos circulating online appear to show people gathered around a NYPD van that some are saying to be involved in the accident.

The NYPD is also questioning witnesses who saw the entire incident unfold. It’s unclear whether the van was responding to a 911 call when it struck the victim.
