California Church shooting: Dad kills 3 daughters and himself

At least five people were found dead on the site of the California Church shooting incident on Monday.

A 39-year-old man fatally shot his 3 daughters, their supervisor and then himself at a Church in Sacramento, California.

An employee of the Church heard gunshots and called 911 according to Sacramento County Sheriff’s Sgt. Rod Grassmann.

Upon arrival, deputies found 5 people dead, including the shooter, at the Church in the Arden-Arcade neighborhood. The victims included three girls ages 9, 10 and 13.

“The shooter, who is deceased, has a restraining order against him and has to have supervised visits with his children. We believe that at this Church that’s what was happening, a supervised visit,” said Sacramento County Sheriff Scott Jones.

The children’s 59-year-old supervisor was also among the victims according to Sgt. Grassmann.

Officials have yet to release the identities of the victims.

“If he was the person in a domestic violence restraining order, he shouldn’t have had a weapon, and there are some other prohibitions that might be in place here of why he should not have a weapon. So we’re very interested to find out that,” Sheriff Jones told reporters.

This investigation will continue to go on for some time,” Sheriff Jones announced.

California Gov. Gavin Newsom dubbed the Church shooting as ‘another senseless act of gun violence in America.’

“Our hearts go out to the victims, their families and their communities. We are working closely with local law enforcement,” Gov. Newsom posted on twitter.
