Two Monroe County sheriff’s deputies have been suspended after they were arrested for an off-duty fistfight with three Navy sailors on Saturday.

Monroe County, Florida deputies Trevor Pike Dawson, 25, and Scott Connor Curry, 23, were charged with disorderly conduct. Pike faces an additional charge of battery as well.

Pike has since been released on bail, and Connor on sureties stating he will appear when is summoned.

At least two Navy sailors were also charged with disorderly conduct. The third Navy sailor, who got injured, was airlifted to a Miami Hospital.

The fight broke out after the deputies and Navy sailors had an argument at a frequented area after about 1:45AM. Deputy Pike had reportedly punched a Navy sailor in the face, while deputy Curry shoved him away.

The Navy sailor consequentially hit his head and lost consciousness. Doctors are saying that he is suffering from a brain bleed and is still unconscious.

Both the deputies are on an unpaid suspension as the incident is being investigated. Monroe County Sheriff said he was “saddened” by the incident.
