Inflation hits 40-year high

Inflation hits a 40-year high in the US as prices for consumers continue to rise at their fastest yearly rate since 1982.

The Consumer Price Index rose by 6.1% along with the costs of rent and food. As inflation continues to rise, Biden’s Socialist Spending Package will face the heat in the Senate.

President Biden is already under pressure for various crises that his Administration created and the way they were handled. Biden underscored the rising prices and said they don’t “reflect today’s reality,” while claiming the coming “weeks and months” would decrease the prices.

Americans are feeling the heat of not only COVID mandates but rising prices of critical everyday items. Many workers are being forced to eat one meal per day so that they can manage their costs.

If Biden fails to control inflation then his reelection bid, or Kamala Harris’ Presidential bid would suffer the worst consequences.

The midterms next year will tell everyone what Americans are feeling. Biden and Kamala’s approval ratings are also a cause for concern for the Democratic Party. With each passing month, the ratings just drop lower and lower.

Biden’s handling of the migrant crisis, the Afghan crisis, response to China and Russia, the supply chain crisis, and skyrocketing inflation, etc., are the reasons behind his unpopularity.

It might take years of stability before Biden and the Democratic Party can gain back their lost popularity and trust. All eyes are now on the 2022 midterms.
