Andrew Cuomo charged over sexual misconduct

by News Desk October 29, 2021

Estranged former New York Governor Andrew Cuomo has been charged with groping a former aide at the Governor’s mansion.

He was charged on Thursday for the crime that could lead him to jail for about a year. The misdemeanor complaint alleges that Andrew Cuomo, 63, had “intentionally” crept his hand down the blouse of the victim.

It further alleges that the disgraced Governor had groped the left breast of the victim to fulfil his “sexual desire.”

Andrew Cuomo had resigned after calls for his impeachment grew. An investigation by the New York Attorney’s General found him in violation of state and federal law.

He was found to have sexually harassed up to 11 women. Cuomo, in his farewell address had once again denied “ever” inappropriately touching women.

His resignation came after his realization that he would be impeached – Such an outcome would have forever ended his political options.

Cuomo has been issued a criminal summon, ordering him to appear before the court on November 17. The complaint does not name the victim but highlights the alleged incident took place at the Governor’s mansion in Albany on December 07, 2020.

Andrew Cuomo’s lawyer has accused the local sheriff for being politically motived – Something Cuomo has accused everyone with. He is expected to surrender before authorities sometime next week.

The victim, former executive assistant of Cuomo, Brittany Commisso came forward with the complaint to the county sheriff. At the time of the incident, Cuomo had allegedly summoned the victim to come into the mansion to fix his cellphone.

The evidence against him ranges from text message(s), to state police aviation records, to state police Blackberry PIN messages, to the victim’s testimony, etc.

Commisso went public after the NY AG released the damning report, and told exactly how Cuomo had violated her. She, along with the 10 other victims have demanded that the estranged former Governor be held accountable.

Apart from this incident, she has also described a complete list of incidents, involving unwanted touching, hugs and kisses.

Cuomo however, has denied any wrongdoing. His legal team has time and again called the investigation and the criminal charge to be politically motivated.
