American Airlines flight diverted after passenger assaults flight attendant

Wednesday – An American Airlines flight from New York to Orange County, CA was diverted to Denver after a passenger allegedly assaulted a flight attendant.

According to a witness, the flight attendant had blood all over her mask after she was punched in the face. The attendant was taken to a hospital as she was bleeding.

The handcuffed suspect was seen being taken away by authorities at the Denver airport. He was wearing a mask.

The incident allegedly took place over the airline’s mask mandates. American Airlines have released a statement, condemning the incident and promising to permanently ban the suspect from their flights.

The suspect was arrested by law enforcement as soon as the plane landed at Denver. The flight attendant’s injuries are being treated and the FBI is investigating the case.

American Airlines have announced to fully cooperate with the FBI and provide them with whatever information they need. It is also calling for this type of behavior to stop, and hoping to see the passenger get the maximum penalty.
