Texas Border Patrol catch 24 migrants using train to travel deep into US
Texas Rio Grande Sector Border Patrol agents caught 24 migrants believed to have used a train to travel deeper into the US.
“Rio Grande Valley Sector Border Patrol (RGV) agents apprehend 24 migrants that used a train to travel further into the US.”
Corpus Christi Border Patrol station received a call at 2PM on Oct. 08, and were informed about the illegals walking around the tracks.
22 migrants were then apprehended in a joint operations by the Nueces County Sheriff’s Office (NCSO) and Robstown Police Department.
A bag containing bolt cutters was found in their possession which were allegedly used to get into the train cars.
As authorities were waiting for them to be transported, a “suspicious blue GMC Yukon passed their location.”
Upon inspection, it was revealed that the car contained two more illegals attempting to pickup the other 22. Their goal was to transport them “further into the United States.”
The migrants are now in the custody of Border Patrol and they belong from Mexico, Guatemala and El Salvador.
On the morning of October 10, Border Patrol arrested a further 5 migrants. They “exited from a black Volkswagen Jetta as an officer attempted to conduct a traffic stop near Expressway 83 and Minnesota Road in Mission, Texas.”
They are from Honduras and El Salvador. The driver remains unidentified.
According to the Border Patrol, all the suspects are being processed accordingly.
The arrests come just a week after suspected Cartel members taunted the Texas National Guard.
Border Patrol agents are adamant to continue to safeguard the nation and communities against such criminal elements as the crisis deepens further thanks to President Biden’s promises to the migrants at the campaign trail, and his administrations attempts to block funding for the Border wall and necessary security measures to restrict the influx.
