Train derails in Montana, three killed, dozens injured
At least three people have been killed with over 40 injured as wagons of an Amtrak passenger train derailed in Montana.
According to Amtrak, there were about 140 passengers and 16 crew members onboard the Chicago to Seattle service.
The carriages derailed near the town of Joplin at about 4PM local time.
Rescuers have since been busy evacuating passengers, some are comparing the derailment with severe turbulence felt on planes.
The National Transportation Service Board has launched an investigation into the matter.
Those dead are yet been identified and the injured are being moved to nearby hospitals.
