Afghanistan: Germany stops developmental aid
Afghanistan, the top recipient of German aid fell to the Taliban and the German Development minister says they will suspend all aid given to the country, and are eager to evacuate all Germans and dual-nationals working for human rights organizations from Afghanistan.
Germany has already been involved in attempts to airlift citizens and allies out of the country. With the situation at the airport deteriorating their operations were hampered but are expected to pick up pace once again after US troops regained control of the situation.
Germany has also announced of deploying 600 troops to help protect the airport and evacuate people, and as the situation in Afghanistan is worsening European leaders are fearing and anticipating another migrant crisis. This time, the surge coming out of Afghanistan.
