Afghanistan: “God will hold [Ghani] accountable”

Confirming “former” President Ashraf Ghani’s departure from the country. Abdullah Abdullah, chairman of Afghanistan’s High Council for National Reconciliation said “God will hold [Ghani] accountable,” in a video message uploaded on Facebook.

Abdullah Abdullah also called Ghani a “former President” and in the same video criticized him for leaving the country in such a situation.

Ghani had addressed his nation yesterday and vowed to remobilize forces to battle this “imposed” war, and that he will not allow more lives to be lost. Earlier today, anonymous government officials reported Ghani to have left the country and the reports have now been confirmed by Abdullah Abdullah.
