Black Lives Matter activist shot in London

Sasha Johnson, a 27-year-old British Black Lives Matter activist is in critical condition as a consequence of a gunshot wound to the head in London on Sunday morning.

“It is with great sadness that we inform you that our own Sasha Johnson has been brutally attacked and sustained a gunshot wound to her head”, addressed the victim’s Taking The Initiative Party. She was being treated in intensive care according to her party.

The party also claimed that the incident occurred “following numerous death threats”.

The police said that the victim was moved by the paramedics to a South London hospital after being shot. The shooting took place near a house party in Southwark. There was no evidence that she had received any threats prior to the attack.

Detective Chief Inspector Jim Tele said, “A dedicated team of detectives is working tirelessly to identify the person or persons responsible for this shooting” regarding the incident.

Her party later announced that a vigil would be held at King’s College Hospital on Monday in the wake of this gruesome attack.
