Mother assaulted by man trying to abduct her baby

A mother was assaulted by a man who was trying to abduct her baby from a bus platform in Oakland, California.

The Oakland Police Department are looking for the suspect who has since been on the run. The incident occurred around 12:30PM on July 12 at the AC Transit Bus Platform.

Both, the mother and her child escaped unharmed, according to authorities. Family members have confirmed that the suspect who was making threats ultimately began physical assault after he failed to snatch the 2-year-old child.

The suspect fled the scene after a good Samaritan intervened.

Police are looking for a 5’10” Hispanic male in his mid-40s. He was seen in a red shirt and a black hat. Anyone who recognizes the suspect are urged to call (510) 238-3614.
