First Lady under fire for comparing Hispanics to tacos

First Lady Dr. Jill Biden has come under fire for comparing the Hispanic community to tacos.

Dr. Biden was addressing the Latino people at an event in Texas when she tried to fit in and used the snack as a compliment. The National Association of Hispanic Journalists responded to her comment by announcing that they “are not tacos.”

President Biden has seen his popularity among Hispanic voters plummet, and Mrs. Biden’s comments have backfired.

During the San Antonio address, Dr. Biden also mispronounced the stores Bodegas as ‘Bogedas.’ The NAHJ has also urged Dr. Biden to better understand the Hispanic people and not to stereotype.

This isn’t the first time this Administration has come under fire for stereotyping and trying to fit in. Just last year, VP Kamala Harris also came in the news for using a ‘fake French accent.’
