FBI releases distressing number of Police officer murders
The FBI has released a report which shows that the number of Police officer murders rose by nearly 60% in 2021.
During an interview given to 60 Minutes, FBI Director Christopher Wray, gave distressing news that about 73 officers were killed in the line of duty last year.
The US has seen a significant rise in violent crime since 2019 as calls for “defunding the Police” grew and the death a George Floyd sparked major riots which soon turned into looting sprees while giving rise to violent crime.
According to Wray, an “alarming” number of officers were killed in ambushes and killed in targeted attacks. Police officers risk their lives while protecting society, criminals have been using BLM and far-Left ideology against law enforcement to their advantage.
Americans however, have had enough with unrealistic progressive calls to “dismantle the Police” and create a so-called “Department of Public Safety” that would have looked into the mental wellbeing of criminals and would have responded to the crime scene to determine if the criminal is violent or not!
Minneapolis, where Floyd was killed, rejected this radical idea after crime rose significantly.
Director Wray also hinted at the FBI’s concern of “some of the worst of the worst” being released out on the streets. Cashless bail has been supported by President Biden and a number of cities under Democrats who support “bail reforms” have seen violent criminals out on the streets again well before their court appearance.
At least 23 Police officers have been killed in the line of duty in 2022, this includes gunfire and vehicular assault related deaths.
