Florida man arrested for recording minors in Walmart dressing room
A Florida man has been arrested and charged for recording minors in a Walmart dressing room.
The suspect, 29-year-old Dalton Matheson, is accused of taking photos and videos of young girls while they were changing clothes in a Walmart dressing room.
The girls, aged 4 and 12, told their father about the disgusting incident. The father and security officials then chased Matheson out of the store, catching him at a nearby bus station.
Matheson is charged with video voyeurism, resisting arrest and petit theft, according to Lee County Sheriff Carmine Marceno.
Matheson is a “disgusting pathetic person” and a “monster,” said Sheriff Marceno.
“This piece of shit is behind bars, where he belongs,” he continued.
“I want to make it clear as I have since day one: We protect those that cannot protect themselves,” said Sheriff Marceno in a press release. “There is nothing more precious than a child, and making certain that we protect our children at all costs.”
A similar incident took place at a Good Will store on Saturday. Lee County deputies are working with Fort Meyers Police to find out whether the same suspect was behind this incident.
“Everything we can charge, we will charge at the highest level,” Sheriff Marceno concluded.
