US says goodbye to Russian vodka, seafood and diamonds

by News Desk March 11, 2022

President Biden has announced a complete ban on Russian vodka, seafood and diamond imports as Russia steps up its invasion of Ukraine.

The US is also planning to revoke Russia’s “Most Favored Nation” status to toughen up its sanctions on Putin’s regime in Russia. With each passing day, Russia is becoming more and more isolated as it fails to respond to calls to stop its illegal war in Ukraine.

Putin, who has already showed signs of a mental decline, termed the global response to his illegal actions as “a declaration of war.” He has also threatened to occupy assets left by global firms and nationalize the Russian economy.

As the screw is being tightened, Putin is now in desperate need to quickly overtake Ukraine and set up a puppet government there which would do as the Kremlin orders.

Ukraine’s military response not only shocked Russia but the entire World. What was assumed to have been a quick Russian takeover has lasted multiple weeks with no end in sight and thousands of Russian troops killed and vehicles destroyed, according to Ukraine.

Once Russia’s “most favored nation” status is revoked, higher tariffs will be imposed to squeeze the supply of Russian imports into the country and ascertaining that Russian firms do not get away with large profit margins.

Since Russia is showing no signs to stop its attacks on civilians in Ukraine, and is now creating a pretext to make Belarus join the invasion. The World is left with no choice but to go for an all out isolation of Putin’s regime.
