Biden to seek oil from Saudi Arabia as pressure for Russia sanctions grows

President Biden may travel to and seek oil from Saudi Arabia in the upcoming months after sanctions on Russia cripple global oil supply chain, according to a report.

According to a news report by Axios, Biden’s advisers are discussing a possible visit to Saudi Arabia to repair relations. The administration is to convince the Islamic Kingdom to produce more oil so that global prices fall.

This comes after gas prices soar due to sanctions on Russia for the unprovoked invasion of Ukraine. Yesterday, the gas prices reached their highest since July 2008 with an average price of $4.065 a gallon.

The US will not import any oil from Russia to cripple its economy after Putin ordered the attack on Ukraine.

Had President Biden supported the Keystone XL Pipeline or allowed new leases for oil drilling, then the US would have been energy independent. Critics criticized his move to create roadblocks for new drilling leases in a bid to appease the far-Left.
