In another horrifying incident, an NYC man allegedly attempted to rape a woman on a subway train on Wednesday morning.

The suspect who is still at large was captured on Canal Street subway cameras. Images show what appears to be a young black man in his 20s.

The victim is a 21-year-old woman who was onboard a northbound E-train around 10:30AM. The suspect began the sexual assault when the train was in Lower Manhattan. He allegedly threw her into a corner and then tried to rape her, according to the NYPD.

Police are looking for the suspect who is said to have left the scene before authorities arrived and hopped onto another train.

According to Police, the victim is in a stable condition after being treated at a local Hospital.

This horrific attack comes as New York City sees one of its worst sexual crime surges in recent history. This surge is testing Mayor Eric Adams who had vowed to combat crime and reinforce law enforcement that was left crippled.

The New York Police Department urges anyone with information to contact NYPD Crime Stoppers at 1800-577-8477. Rewards go up to $3500.
