Coward IS leader Abu Ibrahim al-Qurayshi killed in Syria operation

by News Desk February 3, 2022

Islamic State leader Abu Ibrahim al-Qurayshi has been killed in an overnight US Special Forces raid in north-west Syria.

President Biden made the announcement and said that “a major terrorist threat to the World” was removed.

The coward terrorist leader blew himself up when he knew he was cornered, and ended up killing himself and his family.

Biden chose a special forces raid instead of a drone strike because Qurayshi lived in a residential area and kept a civilian family on the ground floor – while his family lived on the second floor of the two-story building.

The terrorist leader used to mail orders to the organization’s terrorists from the building and never left it. At least 13 people were found dead by Syrian first responders after the raid.

The building was outside the rebel-controlled Atmeh in the Idlib Province near Turkey.

President Biden was briefed by the Pentagon over a month ago on Qurayshi’s whereabouts along with the operation to capture or kill him.

President Biden monitored the midnight raid in real-time from the situation room. US Special Forces were met with heavy firing from AA guns as the helicopters landed. The road connecting to the area was sealed off and the family living on the first floor was safely evacuated before the siege began.

As the civilian family was evacuating, Qurayshi locked himself and his own family inside a room before blowing himself up and killing members of his own family in the explosion.

Qurayshi and his wife are said to have fired at US forces from the window. After the explosion, the remainder of his children came running out of the building.

ISIS resurgence in Syria and Iraq is expected to slow down now.
