DOS issues ‘do not travel’ advisory for Ukraine as embassy staff evacuates

by News Desk January 23, 2022

The State Department has issued a “do not travel” advisory for Ukraine as it orders Embassy staff to evacuate from the country.

US citizens are urged to get out of the country or not travel to it because Russia’s military action anywhere inside the country would “severely impact” the US Embassy’s consular services.

The DOS had already authorized the voluntary departure of US direct hire employees, and the recommended departure of family members of Kyiv Embassy staff on January 23, 2022.

As Russian troops are ready and have Ukraine surrounded – things can escalate at any time beginning from controlled violence erupting from within Ukraine to dethrone the current government and system to plaster a pro-Russian leadership.

Little has been done – apart from warnings of dire economic consequences – to stop Russia as NATO itself has taken two approaches with France and Germany sitting back and helping with medical aid, while the rest of NATO busy trying to help Ukraine with military aid and intel.

It is only a matter of time before Putin gives the orders of either direct action, or the toppling of the political setup first and then sending in troops as an excuse to “help” the country, like it did in Kazakhstan.
