Sinead O’Connor loses son after he goes missing in Ireland

Sinead O’Connor’s 17-year-old son died on Friday after he went missing from Newbridge, County Kildare.

The singer had appealed to her son to come back and that his “life is precious.” Soon after his disappearance, she said her “World would collapse without you. Please don’t harm yourself.”

The search for the missing 17-year-old Shane O’Connor ended after his body was recovered at the Bray area of Wicklow on Friday.

Sinead O’Connor’s public representatives have asked the public to respect the privacy of Sinead and Shane’s family at such a difficult time.
