Florida man charged after allegedly strangling woman at bus stop
A man is being charged with attempted felony murder for allegedly strangling a woman at a bus stop in Miami-Dade County, Florida.
Aaron K. Quinones, 27, was allegedly seen strangling a 26-year-old woman at a bus stop in Miami-Dade County on Sunday. Authorities say Quinones had tried to strangle the woman from behind with a shoelace while she was waiting for a bus.
Quinones had repeatedly beaten the woman while she tried to defend herself, according to Miami-Dade County Police. The woman survived after a passerby intervened and stopped Quinones who then fled from the scene.
The passerby too had left by the time law enforcement reached the area. Police successfully arrested Quinones a short while later and he is now being kept at the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center on a $250,000 bond.
The investigation is being continued and “officers want to speak to the good Samaritan, who was not on the scene when they arrived.”
“Investigators urge anyone that has any information or that may have been victimized by this individual to call the Airport District at (305) 867-7373.”
