Twitter permanently suspends Marjorie Taylor Greene’s account

Twitter has permanently banned Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene’s account on the platform for spreading “COVID-19 misinformation.”

The company said it banned one of the Representative’s accounts for “repeated” violations of its “COVID-19 misinformation policy.” This was Greene’s personal account and her Congressional Twitter account is still active.

The Representative criticized the decision on GETTR and said “Twitter is an enemy to America and cant handle the truth.”

Social media platforms have long come under criticism for their alleged “selective decision-making” on what to call “misinformation.”

The platforms are filled with fake Chinese propaganda pages spreading disinformation to reach a simple objective. They have been labeled as “state-controlled media” but that does not seem enough as the platforms have long been banned in China. Yet, the Chinese propaganda pages exist for the global audiences who are unaware and are flooded with pro-CCP fake news and disinformation.

Greene’s account has regularly been suspended in the past for sharing certain information on COVID-19, its vaccines, and the 2020 Election.

She received a warning in August after she claimed that the COVID vaccines “are failing.”

Her account was permanently banned after she said that “extreme” amounts of “COVID vaccine deaths” are being “ignored.”
