Four killed in Denver shootings

by News Desk December 28, 2021

Four people have died, and over three people including a Police officer injured in a string of shootings in Denver, Colorado.

The suspect was shot dead by Police after an exchange of fire at a fourth location. The shootings started right after 5PM when two women were killed and one man injured.

The shooter was on the run and then went to a different location where he killed a man. At the third site he fired his gun again but at no known target. Police were chasing the suspect’s vehicle, exchanging fire throughout the chase.

The suspect managed to disable the Police vehicle after him, and according to Denver Police Chief Pazen he then “fled into Lakewood.”

About an hour into the rampage, Police got a call reporting a shooting at a local business. A person was found dead on scene and Police found the suspect’s vehicle nearby who then fired at them.

He then ran towards a nearby shopping district, the fourth location, to intimidate another business before taking cover at a hotel where he shot a clerk – who has been hospitalized.

The suspect didn’t stop there and rushed towards a newer area where he shot a Lakewood Police officer who tried to stop him.

The officer is now undergoing surgery and the shooter was finally stopped when he exchanged fire with Police and was killed. He now poses no threat to the community, Police declared.

His motive is yet to be made public.
