DOJ backs off from settlement talks that would have paid illegals $450,000

The Department of Justice has backed off from settlement talks that would have paid illegal immigrants $450,000 each for being separated at the border.

The DOJ has reportedly pulled out from the talks amid growing criticism of the move that would encourage more illegals to make the trek towards the US, and Cartels telling the illegal immigrants to use tactics that could lead them to such cash wins.

The move drew the ire of Republican lawmakers as well, who had sent several letters to the Department of Justice, telling it to consider against such a move.

President Biden had already called reports of half a million being paid to illegals as “garbage” while talking to reporters. He however, does believe that the families deserve some sort of “compensation.”

Under such a move, illegal immigrants would have been paid $450,000 while over half a million Americans are homeless. The money eventually had to be paid by the American taxpayer who is already overburdened by the soaring debt.

Illegal immigrants would have received the money pretty easily while the average American would have worked their entire life to repay that money.

Countless Americans are suffering from economic turmoil where their bills remain unpaid, and the Biden Administration’s handing out of hefty paychecks to illegal immigrants who break the law from the get-go would have been another nail in Biden’s crumbling approval rating.
