Minneapolis rejects radical idea of replacing Police Department

by News Desk November 3, 2021

Minneapolis voters have rejected a radical idea to not only defund the Police but replace the city’s Police department with a so-called Department of Public Safety.

The idea was pumped after the death of George Floyd in Police custody. His death led to several riots throughout the United States and the country was choked by violent mobs going on a robbing spree, destroying public/private property in the process.

The proposed so-called Department of Public Safety would have reported to the mayor and a 13-member council. Mental health experts would have been brought in for most cases of “non-violent” crime, instead of Police officers.

The radical move was welcomed by Minneapolis Congresswoman Ilhan Omar, and Minnesota’s attorney general Keith Ellis.

Mayor Jacob Frey, also a Democrat, opposed the radical move which would have made Minneapolis the hub of organized crime. The city is already seeing a massive crime wave set to overtake the record set just last year.

Police officers in Minneapolis have been hesitant to enforce law & order as they are seen as villains by the Black community. Especially those wanting to commit crimes and/or have a criminal history, only using Black people for their own benefit.

Officers fear any intervention would lead to more rioting and mobs would then go after them and their families. As Minneapolis has finally shown confidence in its police force, things may finally change in the city.

Violent criminals and gangs will now be worried the most. The radical ideas they had been drafting and pumping through far-Left congressmembers has been dumped, at least for now.

The so-called Department of Public Safety from the get-go looked good only on paper. The whole idea was insane as you could never anticipate who would be violent or non-violent on-scene responding to the situation. It shows how far away Democratic far-Left lawmakers are from reality.

Crime has risen in Minneapolis, the only way to stop it is if the city support law enforcement. The people tell the officers that they trust them, and have faith in them.

Otherwise, the crime infestation will only grow.
