Youngkin win a disaster for Democrats ahead of the 2022 midterms

Republican Glenn Youngkin has been elected as Virginia’s Governor after the hotly contested gubernatorial election.

Youngkin is set to be Virginia’s first Republican Governor since 2009. His win comes as a major blow to the Democrats ahead of the crucial 2022 midterms that could now bring back a strong Republican majority in Congress.

His opponent, Democrat Terry McAuliffe was Governor from 2014-18, but his support vanished due to his remarks over the school curriculum issue.

Glenn Youngkin battled vindictive coverage and accusations, the media and McAuliffe tried their best to make him lose public support. Their efforts however, were in vain as he is now Virginia’s new Governor.

The timing of his win is considered a disaster for Democrats who are already battling rifts within the Party. They have thin majorities in Congress which could easily go to the Republicans.

Rep. Ocasio-Cortez has always been keen to get her far-Left agendas passed when the Dems still have majority. Her plans though, face roadblocks due to the rifts within the Party, and with the Moderates finally speaking up her schemes may face even more delays.

Biden, Obama Support

President Biden had supported McAuliffe. In fact, even Obama pitched in for the frontrunner. His loss has not only stunned the media but also the entire Party.

It has also raised questions whether Obama is even liked by anyone but some in the far-Left now.

The Democrats will now need to put pressure on Biden, to recover his slumping approval rating. Biden had won in Virginia by ten points in the Presidential elections, this loss shows the significance of how alienating his and Democratic policies are to Americans.

Youngkin’s win has already stained Biden’s 2024 second-term attempts. If the Democrats lose the majorities in Congress, then Biden may end up losing the 2024 election by a large margin.

Critical Race Theory

Virginia has never liked President Trump, but Youngkin’s handling of his supporters and haters has been remarkable. It shows how the newcomer might just reunite the dented Republican Party, some hating Trump, and others loving him.

Glenn Youngkin’s win has shown how fed up people are over the teaching of the Critical Race Theory to their innocent children. McAuliffe’s support was severely dented by his comments indirectly in favor of the teaching.

Youngkin however, has been a critic of the theory and vowed to revamp the educational structure. Bringing it back to its American roots and not produce brainwashed cattle but educated freethinkers.

What’s next for Dems

Biden‘s approval rating may slump further down from 43%. With that in mind, along with this loss. The Democrats are in disarray ahead of the midterms.

Rising inflation, slow economic recovery, the Afghan withdrawal and Biden caving in to the far-Left are only going to damage Biden’s approval rating further. (Unless, something out of the ordinary happens).

President Biden’s key socialist spending, infrastructure bills are also hanging in the balance since a few months. He may get his house in order but it’s going to be a tough winter ahead for the White House and the Democrats.

Their winter will feel colder once they see the midterms approaching.
