A California teenager from Loleta has admitted to killing a 16-year-old girl and her parents after he was caught with her in the latter’s bedroom.

Mauricio Johnson, 19, pleaded guilty on Tuesday to the killings of the family. He has received a 150-year prison sentence.

The convict murdered Margarett Lee Moon, 40, Nikki Dion Metcalf, 40, and Shelly Autumn May Moon, unidentified, on February 09. The murders took place in their home on the Bear River Band at the Rohnerville Rancheria Reservation. Johnson entered the house with the permission of several minors living there.

As most of the house slept, stepfather Metcalf went into the girl’s room only to find Johnson and the girl. They were intimate.

Metcalf hit Johnson as he ran out of the room with his unzipped pants. Shelly Autumn May Moon’s mother was shot after she went to the living room upon hearing a gunshot. Johnson shot the girl as well because he didn’t want any witnesses.

Johnson’s sentencing is scheduled for January 21, 2022. He was 18 when he committed the crime, and will get a parole hearing in 25 years. Johnson was arrested in Utah a day after the killings.
