Military training plane crashes in Texas

A military training plane crashed in a neighborhood near Fort Worth, Texas, injuring two pilots and damaging three houses.

Both of the pilots ejected from the plane before it crashed into Lake Worth, according to the authorities.

The crashed aircraft, according to the US Navy, is a T-45C Goshawk trainer jet allocated to Training Air Wing 2 of the Naval Air Station in Kingsville, Texas.

One pilot’s parachute got caught in the powerlines while the other was found nearby.

Both of the pilots are being treated for injuries, said Lake Worth Police Chief J.T. Manoushagian.

The residents of the affected houses were displaced, no civilian lives were harmed.

The blocks in the proximity of the crash have been deprived of electricity due to the power cut caused by the crash and are expected to be without power for a few days.

“This incident could have been much worse,” told Lake Worth Fire Chief Ryan Arthur regarding the crash.

The plane crashed during a normal training flight being held from Corpus Christi International Airport, said the Chief of Naval Air Training.
