Never Forget: New York City holds a moment’s silence
08:46AM was when the first plane struck the World Trade Center, leaving New Yorkers and all Americans in shock, but that was only the beginning of what was to come.
The entire city has observed a moment’s silence, which will be followed by the reading out of the names of the 2,977 victims.
The names will be read aloud by the grieving relatives of the victims. There will be pauses at moments each plane crashed and when each of the towers fell.
People throughout the US are somber today. The day that America will never forget.
343 brave firefighters lost their lives on that fateful day and 93 brave passengers who forced terrorists to crash their plane in a field were also killed.
No one expected the towers to collapse and countless people lost their lives trying to help their fellow Americans get out of the buildings.
The events took place 20 years ago and still haunt all Americans and remind us why we must stay united and can never forget.
