New York Gov. Hochul declares a state of emergency

by News Desk September 2, 2021

New York Governor Kathy Hochul has declared a state of emergency in her state to help the areas battered by heavy rainfall that were influenced by Hurricane Ida.

Tree crews are on the ground and water rescue teams are out in order to help people who are stuck.

She urges residents to avoid unnecessary travel as deep waters and broken power cables can be very dangerous.
