Afghanistan: Terror attack warning issued for Kabul airport

by News Desk August 25, 2021

Wednesday – The US, UK and Australia have issued terror attack warnings and recommend citizens not to travel to the airport and those outside are urged to leave the premises as soon as possible.

The Taliban have already warned against an extension to the deadline and terror threats were always there, with the alerts telling people to be cautious, but the most recent one which is warning of a terror attack strongly recommends to leave and/or avoid travel to the airport.

Over 82,000 people have been airlifted out of Afghanistan since the Taliban takeover and it is likely for the evacuations to end before the August 31 deadline, but with each passing day the process is exposed to more dangers and even firing aimed at the runway or a small rocket attack could be devastating and end all operations indefinitely.

The terror attack warning is issued to those outside the airfield waiting to be let in and with such a massive crowd with no proper screening things can escalate very quickly and sabotage the entire process while taking hundreds if not thousands of lives.
