Afghanistan: Taliban stop cross-border trade with biggest partner

Taliban have stopped their cross-border trade with their biggest trading partner India, according to the latter the cargo used to move through neighboring Pakistan but with the Taliban in control of Afghanistan, imports and exports worth millions of dollars have been stopped.

India in the past when the Taliban were out of power spent over $3 billion on infrastructure in Afghanistan, building schools, hospitals, roads, dams, a library and even helped fund the parliament building.

The country has managed to evacuate about 170 people out of Afghanistan, many being Afghans belonging to the northern alliance.
