Vaccinated Americans can enter Canada

For the first time since March 21, 2020 fully vaccinated Americans can finally travel to Canada. The border was jointly closed by the United States and Canada in response to the COVID-19 Pandemic and the rising number of cases.

Initially, the closure was to remain for 30 days but with the rising number of cases it had been extended several times.

While vaccinated Americans can travel to Canada, the same doesn’t apply for vaccinated Canadians as the United States is yet to lift its travel ban.

Canadians are welcoming the move as they can finally meet their family members living across the border and are ecstatic about the rise of tourism and the benefits it would bring to the economy and especially the small family-owned businesses that have been worst-hit by the lockdowns.
