Biden orders Intelligence to report on Wuhan virus origins

President Biden has directed the United States’ Intelligence Communities to ‘redouble’ their efforts on investigating the origins of COVID-19 and report back in 90 days.

A bombshell US intelligence report revealed that about three of the researchers at the Wuhan Institute of Virology fell sick and were hospitalized in November 2019.

“As part of that report, I have asked for areas of further inquiry that may be required, including specific questions for China. I have also asked that this effort include work by our National Labs and other agencies of our government to augment the Intelligence Community’s efforts. And I have asked the Intelligence Community to keep Congress fully apprised of its work.” conferred the President on the recently disclosed intelligence report.

The President also revealed the Intelligence Community’s stance on the origins, elaborating that the Intelligence Community has “coalesced around two likely scenarios but has not reached a definitive conclusion on this question.”

Two elements believe that the virus emerged due to human contact with an infected animal, opposing that one element believes that a laboratory accident caused it, while the majority of the elements deems it impossible to conclude provided the limited information.

“I have now asked the Intelligence Community to redouble their efforts to collect and analyze information that could bring us closer to a definitive conclusion, and to report back to me in 90 days.” said the President in a statement concerning the origins of virus.

The Chinese city of Wuhan is widely believed to be the source of COVID-19, having patient zero. The previously discussed intelligence report solidifies the ‘lab leak’ claim as President Biden remarks to keep working with ‘like-minded’ partners around the world to press “China to participate in a full, transparent, evidence-based international investigation and to provide access to all relevant data and evidence.”
