Battlefield: Reborn trailer to drop in June

by News Desk May 14, 2021

Video game developer DICE teased the release window of the much awaited reveal of the highly anticipated Battlefield game after the lackluster performance of Battlefield V that disappointed fans for trying to change history and not staying true to the second World War.

In a tweet the official Battlefield account said “Words that rhyme with soon: June, Boom”

Fans have their fingers crossed that the developers deliver and this time the game lives up to the true Battlefield experience which was missing in the previous installment of the franchise which started a whole movement against “wokeness” in gaming. The trailer of the previous ended up being the most disliked video on YouTube and the developers also ended up having the most downvoted post on Reddit.

Video game giant EA that owns DICE has already confirmed that the upcoming Battlefield game would be playable on last-gen consoles which has made fans happy but worried at the same time. If cross-play is involved then fans fear the players with current-gen consoles would have an advantage against those going into matches with last-gen systems. EA is yet to respond to these fears but if there is no cross-play between last and current-gen consoles then things should be okay. But we’ll have to wait and see.

Expectations are high with this one and fans are eagerly waiting for a modern setting with some fans speculating the game to be futuristic after a few images of a cutscene leaked online. Our sources tell us the forthcoming installment would be called Battlefield: Reborn and will be having a Cold War era setting.
